What to expect
Step 1: Phone Consult
Don't worry, my sessions aren't a "hi, nice to meet you now smile!" type event. I want to get to know you and why you want this session for your daughter. What makes her, her? I’ll share some of my secrets with you and how I make this session extra special for her.
If you choose to book with me, this is when the scheduling fee is due to hold your date, and we'll start to plan your session.
Step 2: Session Styling via Video Chat
Before the consult appointment, I will send you a questionnaire that will give you a few starting points and inspiration to get your ideas flowing for your session.
This is when your session will start to come to life; bring ALL your ideas!! Be prepared to tell me everything you envision for your session.
Don't worry, this is the same time as your consult, so you won't have to schedule another block of time from your already crazy busy schedule.
Be prepared to show all the outfits that you are considering. Don't forget accessories! For girls, these might be necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. For guys, these might be a fedora, a bowtie, or a sports coat.
The 3 outfits I suggest for all sessions:
A trendy outfit that is all you
A timeless outfit
A formal outfit
These can overlap (for example, the formal outfit can be a super trendy prom dress or more of a timeless style). Have suitcases of ideas? Great!! Show them all!
During our consult, I'll give you all my insider tips and tricks on how to prepare for your session and how to start right away on how to look and feel your best.
Step 3: Consider Hair & Makeup
Because this is such a special day, I will suggest visiting a hair and makeup professional prior to your daughter’s photography session. This is extra time together for you two and extra pampering for her. It will also help her to look and feel camera ready!
Do keep in mind - and remind your hair and makeup professional, that your daughter is still just a little girl and we do not need her to look older.
Step 4: Session Day
You just come ready to have fun and relax. Today is all about your daughter, her story, and helping her having fun and feel loved. I will call Mom in for a few shots so be prepared for 1 pose with your daughter.
We will twirl to music, dance with glitter, and laugh like no one is watching. I want her to enjoy herself and to be absolutely relaxed.
Step 5: Reveal & Ordering
Less than 2 weeks after your session, you'll return to my studio to view and order your gorgeous images.
Forget the fear that you'll have to sit at home to build a book at some online discount retailer with choice paralysis and not knowing which images to choose. I've worked with countless seniors to narrow through the options and find the favorites.
Make sure that all decision makers attend this appointment.
Collections
All products are purchased separately from the session fee at the reveal & ordering appointment. Most families typically purchase wall art, a coffee table book, and a digital license. Collection prices start at $800.
