Making 2018 a Year for the Record Books

{if you are here to see Peyton's book, stick around until the bottom!!}

I've been working a lot with several of my seniors to find out exactly what it is that really causes you guys to struggle, to experience anxiety, and to stay awake at night worrying.

Your answers have been overwhelming.

Let's face it. High school is hard. You've got so many options that it can be paralyzing. Or, you may feel like you have no options. And that can be equally paralyzing.

Finding a college that is the best fit for you and what you are looking for.

Figuring out what you want to do for the next 40 years in your life.

Leaving home.

Time management

Not giving up at the end and finishing strong.

Passing or excelling in your classes.

College applications.

Finding a clean pair of socks.

I want you to know, I've been there.

I remember looking over the list of colleges that I wanted to attend and I felt like I was in it alone. I felt like no one understood my specific circumstances coupled with my dreams and family and financial situations.

I get it.

Don't walk away from your dreams just because things are hard. Remember the quote that is almost cliche now: Anything worth doing is hard.

I want to challenge you, make 2018 your year.

In the past, my resolutions have typically fizzled and been a bust: except when I was intentional about them from the beginning, except when I made them a priority. Those years, I achieved more than I though possible. I checked off so many items from my bucket list that I had to add more experiences and places with the people I love. Making these resolutions a priority have helped me become the person that I dream to be - not the person the world is dragging me down to be.

You've got so much to give to the world that only you can offer. Let me walk you through my resolutions making process so that we can all kick butt in 2018 and change the world.
